Fall 2025 & Spring 2026 Competitive Soccer Evaluation

Ohio Soccer Association modified tryout rules starting for the Fall '22 and Spring '23 seasonal year.  Based on those changes, many clubs in the area have responded by offering evaluation opportunities in April and May by attending regularly scheduled team practices or club events, and in some cases clubs are holding official tryouts in May. 

Butler United intends to hold full club tryouts after Memorial Day, as usual.  However many of our teams will be offering opportunities for highly interested players to come out and train with the team.  We highly encourage any players interested to register as soon as possible so coaches are aware of your interest and have your contact information.  Teams may host individual tryouts throughout the season, or invite interested players to training sessions.  Team specific tryout information will be posted below as details are set.

All players that want to play for BUSC next year, whether or not they are currently in the club, should register for tryouts.

• Butler United teams play in the Miami Valley Youth Soccer Association (MVYSA), the Buckeye Premier Youth Soccer League (BPYSL), Ohio Soccer State League (OSSL), and Great Lakes Alliance (GLA)
• We feature licensed coaches and trainers.  Each team receives regular training from a highly experienced, paid club trainer

These teams plan to play "up" for the Fall 2025 - Spring 2026 seasonal year.  They are willing to consider adding players born 1 Sep - 31 Dec of the birth year one older than their current birth year in anticipation of the change to "grade" years coming in Fall 2026. 

For instance, a 2013 team would be age appropriate in U13 next year (Fall 25), if they chose to play "up" in U14 (with 2012 teams), they would be willing to add players born between 1 Sep 2012 - 31 Dec 2012.  Those players would then be eligible to play with that team in Fall 26 (and onward) when they return to age appropriate play based on the new grade year groups (see chart below).

• G14 Purple will play up in U13 for F25-S26 and are willing to consider adding players born 1 Sep 2013-31 Dec 2013
